As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, Giannoulis Hotels & Resorts has established an active environmental policy. We fully comprehend the importance of our role in developing and implementing a program that protects and enhances the environment and therefore contributes to the long term sustainability of the tourism industry. In order for this program to be successful Giannoulis Hotels & Resort identifies four critical requirements.

To this end our company has already instated the following measures and policies through out the organization.
Actively conserve natural resources and energy
Low flow toilets
State of the art electrical appliances, specifically chosen to minimize energy / water consumption, which are maintained to pristine operating condition
Compact fluorescent light bulbs
Properly adjusted timers for public area lights
Electricity cut off in the rooms through the use of card keys
Efficient use of resources
Towel changes upon the guest’s request
Reuse of old and torn linen to make cleaning cloths.
Reduction of waste to the minimum possible amount
Orders in bulk where possible
Reusable dispensers instated where possible
Use of environmentally friendly materials with regards to both the use of the materials and their source of origin
No aerosols throughout the organization
Continuous effort to minimize chemicals
Introduction of action programs that enhance the environment in the local community.
Creation of a Volunteer group to organize and participate in reforestations and regular cleaning of the sea shore.
Actively enhance the environmental awareness both of the staff and of the community.
Organize regular seminars for the staff.
Openly distribute environmental expertise to other businesses in the area.
